I charge $110 per session which is on the cheaper end- in Bethesda/Gaithersburg. I don't want the cost to be too prohibitive, but I work very hard with a couple. I don't take insurance, but many people do and this is a good option. I find that even with a more reasonably priced fee, many couples find it prohibitive once the crisis they encountered has past and we have stopped the bleeding. Most couples I work with move on within 5-8 sesssions, and chose to return later for tune-ups. Many transistion out with biweekly sessions. Hope this helps!

Check to see if your insurance covers therapists within their network. Ours costs $20 copay. We have grandparents who baby sit sometimes and sometimes we pay a sitter. We were going weekly, now it's every 2-3 weeks.

I don't know where you are, but Jonah Green and Associates in Kensington is $150 per 45 minutes. We used them for my son, but know they do couples counselling as well. We got back 45 dollars per session from insurance so paid 105 out of pocket.

we paid...wait for it...220/session. We had to stop after a handful b/c no reimbursement whatsoever and we did not have the $$$. But it was good while it lasted.

$125. Plus sitter, but we have the sitter for a few hours and use the opportunity to go on a date after our session. We started out going every 2 weeks but now it's more like once a month. It's not magic but it has helped us understand each other better and communicate better. It is definitely worth the investment of time and money.

We paid $200ish for an hour a week. Plus the babysitter. It was incredibly expensive but a lot cheaper than a divorce. I wish we had done it sooner.
