I like it a lot. It wasn't SO popular during the 70s and 80s that one would automatically associate it with that era. Use it if you love it!

LOVE Erin. Interestingly, I have a new friend named Erinn (42 years old) and I never knew it could be spelled this way too.

Who cares? If you love the name, go for it. One of my closest friends is an Erin so I have only good associations. Besides, it's not like Isabel is ever-so-modern, yet it's hugely popular. And as a child of the 80's, all I can say is that you should tell your friends that the 80's rocked.
