I realize this is an old thread, but I did want to chime in. I found these reviews last fall and despite the negative thoughts registered for the soccer class for my 2 (now 3) year old. He absolutely loved everything about the program. Our class was outdoors and the instructor told us on the first day to check the website or voice mail for cancellations if it looked like rain. She told us that a lot of the time its a tough call as they get more complaints about cancelling than holding class in the rain. We did have one day of drizzle that really didn't affect class at all.

We're registered for indoor baseball this winter and are loving it. I actually spoke with the owner and they have opened their own facility because they couldn't control the cleanliness of many of their locations and felt it was reflecting poorly on their programs. Anyway, a great experience and I would recommend giving them another shot.

Then you are lucky, we tried last year with my 3 year old and it was a disaster. Very similar experience to one of the PP.
The guy was late all the time and cut the classes short and my son just hated to be close to him and would not participate Obviously, I could not get a refund so that was our experience.

12:49 here. Just wanted to report that we enrolled in Soccer Tots and are having a great experience. The coach is young, but he is EXCELLENT with the kids. 2 year olds don't need to learn strategy, but he's doing a great job at working on following directions, kicking, fine motor, and burning lots of energy!

No, guys don't do it. Funny that you mentioned the rain....they had us standing in the rain for two classes with small children just to cancel. there is no communication whatsoever. These classes were never made up and we were told that the time we were standing in the rain for two classes counted as classes!!! They have a funny way to trick parents. I am actually disgusted.

My daughter has been in SoccerTots at Trinity since we was 18 months and she loves it. I just signed up for the fall session. Our instructors have always been on time and I do not ever remember one instructor not showing up. Our current instructor, Coach Taylor is really good. They are not really good on communicating regarding inclement weather but we generally always go and hope that the rain stops.

I will second that and add that the guy that was teaching our soccer class didn't show up a few times and they had a class full of parents waiting and finally they sent somebody that hardly new about teaching little kids. It was a horrible experience.

My older DD did soccer tots - the location was outdoors. We did it for 2 summers (ages 3 and 4) and the early fall when she was 3. We had good instructors. DD really liked them The focus at age 3 was more on skills. DD didn't play her first scrimmage until she was 4.

We decided not to continue with them. My DH is not a fan of the outdoor location and DD didn't show a lot of enthusiasm for soccer at this point. She prefers gymnastics and ballet which happen to be indoors and keep her pretty busy. We have also moved and now have a yard where we can kick a ball around, which we didn't have before.

Interesting. Both the baseball and soccer programs were highly recommended to us by other parents, who loved them. In our area both are outdoors, held at local school or municipal fields - the parents said the programs kept the kids moving almost the entire time. We also spoke to a former Blue Box instructor who mentioned all the training they went through. We've been considering it, but haven't signed up (chose to focus on the pool for the summer).

I am thinking about registering my two-year-old DS for either
Lil Sluggers Baseball or Lil Tots Soccer with Blue Box Sports. Can anyone share their experience with this organization?
