Hi... I've used FlexJobs and spoken with their customer support (who are great, by the way). I just wanted to share that they don't use algorithms. A big part of their service is that they hand-screen the jobs so that every job DOES have some kind of work flexibility tied to it. It's the sorting part really saved me time when I was looking for a telecommuting job, because most sites have tons of junk jobs and scams and ads, but FlexJobs doesn't. Definitely recommend.

hi just a quick follow up - I am a former FlexJobs member and a current FlexJobs employee (Director of Partnerships). I can tell you confidently, both personally and professionally the company is very respected and legit. You can see some of the recent press here: http://www.flexjobs.com/PressReviews.aspx ALso- we are the official job board of WorkingMother.com (and if you go to their site you can try FlexJobs for 50% off). We have a team a online researchers who locate flexible positions, plus we have several thousand companies who post their flex jobs on our site as well (inlcuding Amex, PwC, many other Fortune 100). Anyway just wanted to share my two cents. Good luck with your job searches!!

Flexjobs is an aggregator as pp mentioned. Some good postings. Some not as good but still worth checking. Take a look at Mom Corps as well.

I use it. I think it's more of a clearing house for job postings. As far as I can tell, their site has algorithms or whatever that run giant web searches and pulls any job posting that has key words like "telework" or "flex" or "part-time".

There may be companies that proactively post there, but from what I've seen, if a job listing has more details, you click on a link to the original posting website.

I find it a little cumbersome to search through and many jobs aren't really flexible or part-time once you get into the details (which is why I said I think they are just doing keyword searches on the web and then posting them on their site). For example, there are lots of jobs that return as telework when in actuality it's a 100% travel job -- like a systems implementer. To me, that's not teleworking nor is it flexible.

That said, I have found a couple of leads through the site, so feel like it was worth the subscription fee, at least for a year. I feel like there's a good range of types of work listed, too.
