I have a slightly slipped cervical disc in my neck. It feels a lot like you describe. At some point, I may require surgery, but for now I have fairly aggressive PT that I do and the pain is mostly non existent. However, there are some days the lump is more prominent and the pain is severe/can cause a migraine from pinching on the nerve.

Is it hard? Like are you sure it's not your vertebrae?

OP here..... I am bumping this up to see if anyone has had a bump on the back of their neck. I have a doctor's appointment scheduled, but it isn't for another week. I am hopeful someone has had this and had it treated and cured.

Thanks PP. I will go to the doctor for sure. But I also was hoping someone who had this could post about their experience.

Please see a doctor. It could be anything from a tumor to a slipped disc.

Over the past 3-4 months, I have had a very sore neck. There is a hump/bump there on the back of my neck at the top of my spine, and the area hurts. Massage and heat do not really help much. Tylenol works.

Anyone have this?

I googled it and it sounded like an upper thoracic hump?
