I have a wood/bamboo woven roman shade on mine. Are you trying to block some light or all? Mine let light in and don't give 100% privacy but we don't need it. A Lined fabric roman shade would work if that's what you need.

The entire house has plantation shutters but we left the french patio doors to deal with later on.
What would you consider putting on them for shade? I was originally avoiding plantation shutters in fear of them being to bulky but I have seen some pictures that look nice. Our plantation shutter installer did not recommend them and instead recommend very skinny vinyl blinds
