Le Caprice in Columbia Heights has authentic croissants and chocolate croissants. Also, the best scones I've ever tasted. Plus muffins and stuff. I've also seen those boxes for coffee.

Their stuff is very good but they source it from other local shops, and its pretty expensive. Marvelous Market and Firehook are good suggestions. Yes to Pumpernickels if you only want Bagels, although you could hop north on thesame block to. Bread and chocolate for good muffins and croissants. Also, Whole Foods has decent stuff, and a variety..

I want to bring a selection of muffins / bagels for the early care staff at my child's school.

I will pick up a Joe to Go at Starbucks - but need a place to get some breakfast treats. I am not a huge fan of Panera or Starbucks for breakfast- any places open early that I can swing by?

I will consider from North Capitol to CT avenue
North of Porter
South of Military / Missouri (but would go a little North if someone tells me it is worth it)
