Use this cream

https://www.eucerinus.com/products/repair/eucerin-intensive-repair-extra-enriched-foot-creme.html

It works, I give myself pedicures about every three weeks and my feet do not get rough in between even though I wear nothing but sandals and go barefoot while at home, even outside. Just put this on my feet as soon as I step out of the shower and it works. Nothing else ever did for me.

Pumice stones work for me. Just don't get carried away, or your foot will be sore.

Don't use a razor. The drugstore sells a metal grater that looks a little like a cheese grater. It works great. It's by the pumice stones.

razoring is illegal in salons in some states. Blood = infected tools = HIV and hepatitis. If you are really smart, you take your own manicure tools in with you and insist that they use yours and only yours.

Ladies, good 'ole Vaseline works the best if you use it everyday.

Why is the razor such a big no-no?

(I razor my own feet all the time and it's awesome).

Put AmLactin lotion (drugstores) on at night, it smells a little funny but it should work in a few weeks. I get pedis, but I like them. I also do the "big no-no" and have them gently razor my feet, you can buy one for about $5 in supply stores or even drugstores and bring it with you so its just yours.

I do regular pedis but still have hard skin about after a week. I don't do anything but foot creme on a daily basis, so I guess daily routine is key.

Dermatologist gave me a prescription for creams that work. One has salacylic acid in it and helps soften the skin.

A pedicure will help, in addition to the callus remover solution they can used all sorts of pumices, scrubbers, and files to get rid of the hard dry skin on your heel. You can do it yourself with a pumice stone (they are at any pharmacy in the beauty/skin care aisle) and some moisturizer/cotton socks overnight as PP said.

You can do it yourself by scrubbing your feet in the shower daily, apply vasoline and wear socks following that to lock in the moisture. It works.

Yes, they usually have a callus remover solution that will dissolve the hard skin. It costs a little extra though.

I have some hard, dry looking skin on the bottom of my heel, will a pedicure help?
I dont really get pedicures.
Skin is not cracking or anything.
