That is OP's baby. It's a pet forum.

Log any further seizures. You may have to treat long term with Rx or see a vet neurologist. It can be expensive but manageable.

I think your thread title was an exaggeration and probably panicked a few parents on this forum before they realized it was a grown dog having a seizure, not a baby.

I don't know why parents would be panicked for 2 reasons. 1- this is in the pets forum. 2-I highly doubt perfect strangers would panic over someone's child over the internet that they don't even know.

My greyhound had this for many years. She died of old age -- other causes-- at 14.

Many dogs have seizures/epilepsy. You can get it under control with medication. Hang in there, OP. I know this is scary. You will get through. Post and let us know how your baby is doing.

Our Lab used to have those, I think it was related to heat. They weren't common, and he went on to live to a ripe old age.

I am so worried. My golden retriever (5years old) had a seizure this afternoon. I didn't know what it was when it was happening, but I rushed him to the animal hospital and they confirmed that that's what it most likely was.

I was bringing him from outside and his legs gave out and he started peeing in the kitchen (he's NEVER peed in the house before, even when he was a puppy). He also threw up all over and laid on his side and started "paddling".

Hs anyone else ever had an epileptic dog? The vet said it may not be epilepsy and we just have to monitor it and see if it occurs again. Also, does anyone have any tips in case it happens again? The vet said to trow a comforter over him so he can't see/hear until he gets over it. Anything else I should know?
