Subject: ABA service question
When it is on-site, I am not in the room. We have separate sessions at home when I am in the room. This would not be a reason for me not to use them.

I was in the room w/ my DS for precisely that reason. I wouldn't have paid otherwise

I would not agree to it. Why do they discourage it? When we did ABA, I could either participate or get stuff done around the house. She'd explain everything she was doing and often we'd work together. That makes no sense not to work together as you need to reinforce the activities.

This condition is not unusual.
Parents can be a big distraction to the child during the session. Plus a child might be less likely to perform difficult tasks if the parent is there to "save" them if they get upset and don't want to do the task.

Hi All, we are interested in this particular ABA provided but the only caveat is that they would
not allow parent to sit in the room during session (for on-site services). How critical is this?
They do have separate training programs for parents.
