this is so helpful. I am five months post partum and having a hard time finding the time to run and just bought a jog stroller. Would love to try this with the baby and get MOTIVATED!!

Good morning. Since I frequent DC Urban moms often, I have recently notice questions about races that are stroller friendly. Since its inception in January 2013, it has grown significantly, where now you can get to the calendar via Run Stroller Run (http://www.runstrollerrun.com). I have more than 1000 races listed throughout the United States. We have 189 races listed for the DC metropolitan area (VA, MD, and DC). I am adding about 20-30 races daily, so if you know of a race that is not listed, please let us know and we will add it.

How did Run Stroller Run start? Back in Jan 2012, I was planning my season and could not find one place to find races that accepted strollers. I had to email every race director, but I got busy and discarded the calendar for 2012. In January 2013, I started again. I got more traction and a lot of moms asking for the calendar. I created a post with the Excel document. The interest continued to grow and I migrated the Excel Document to an online calendar. My plan is by August 2013, the calendar will have moved completely over to its own site, Run Stroller Run. When you type in the URL it is redirected to the Stroller Friendly Race Calendar located on my personal site at the moment.
