So i have the impression that the kids there enjoy it. (She would have, I'm sure. Though my son never could have handled such a long day at that age. Too exhausting to be social so long!)

My son has done really well at RH this year despite the large class size. Montg County uses the 2.0 curriculum now and there is alot of controversy around it and you can read more on this forum by searching other threads. I don't have anything else to compare it too and he is only in kinder so even though it is rather vague, I am not up in arms over it. I also spoke to his teacher about it though and read up in the curriculum.
For after school at RH you either sign up for aftercare or indiv activities that are run via the PTA or other private orgs. The days and times vary as do the subjects or sports and they cost varying amounts for 6 weeks sessions at a time. The aftercare is not educational but focuses on fun activities for the kids.

We now live in Chevy Chase and our son attends rosemary hills. We have had a good experience so far with RH. It is a much larger school that covers a larger area of students. RH is only K-2 as well, but it is still has a great deal of students even with that limitation. If you are going to stay beyong 5th grade and for middle school, Univ Park may not be the best bet as the middle and high schools for that area are not very good.
