What a splendid house! What wonderful taste the owners must have! Whence could they have sourced that fan/light in the living room? Is that an original Van Gogh in the dine-in kitchen? And how the wallpaper in the powder room would transport you to 17th century China! And the beautiful ceiling fan in the bedroom? And the marble in the master bedroom fireplace - just the thing to look at when you take a break from chess! And just imagine folding yourself into the corner jacuzzi while your partner relieves himself on the toilet!

Truly breath-taking! Thanks OP.

The water looks muddy. Not very appealing.

Great location but you would have to bulldoze the house in an attempt to blot out the relentless ghastliness.

I like some of the newer homes in the Palisades, but not this one, primarily because (1) it suffers from small-lot syndrome, with the garage being too prominent in the front; and (2) it's so close to the river that it seems almost malarial too me. The porch looks nice, but then I imagine a bunch of people sitting in 90-degree heat trying to chase mosquitos away.

No thanks.

You MUST read the comments from when Prince of Petworth posted this house. All normal, regular PoP community members pointing out very real shortcomings. And then, about halfway down, the owner or agent jumps in with multiple dummy accounts, posting real-estate-speak raves about the place. It's hilarious and transparent and ok, a little sad.

I assume OP of this thread is the same person.

It is amazing how ostentatiously these multi-million dollar homes are decorated. Too many patterns and prints and clawed furniture and chandeliers. They do not understand the value of "white space"!

Love the patio and views, but that's just about it.

Actually, we live under that flight path, and it really isn't that noticeable once you get used to it. The planes are usually landing from the south anyway.

Here's the problem: THE AIRPLANE TRAFFIC!!!!!

Don't you know that the landing pattern for Nat'l Airport brings the planes directly overhead - and very low. Won't be using that patio much, unless you like to shout over the sound of all the planes landing, one after another all day and into the night.

Price may be an issue for some, but if you can afford it why not? Parks, tons of families, lots of interior space 3700sq ft, on the trail. Go for it.
