Looks like the desert for this appetizer. Make of that what you will.

Anyway, it's meatballs, not wieners, in grape jelly.

I don't think I would do it. If you are pressed for time, Safeway, costco and Trader Joe's all have frozen mini pastries that are delicious and you can arrange them on a platter with some fruit.

I think peanut butter chocolate bars would be more adult, but no one's going to say anything and I'm sure people will happily eat it.

No. This dessert is not acceptable.

It's kid-like but they will definitely get gobbled up! They sound awesome -- can I quickly join your group? If you want to make them more "adult," maybe go with bittersweet chocolate? (I didn't click the link, so maybe the recipe already calls for that.)

I think it looks a few steps up from standard rice crispy treats. If you do a nice presentation (cut and on a nice platter, maybe with some fruit) it will go over well.

I am hosting a book club in a couple of weeks. It is customary for the host to have snacks out and then do a dessert. If I am planning on making a chocolate caramel rice krispie treat-- http://www.keyingredient.com/recipes/1872090/chocolate-caramel-peanut-butter-rice-krispies-treats/

does that sound okay? or is to kid-like?
