My 4 month old DD had labial adhesions and needed estrogen cream. We only used it for 2 weeks and labs opened right back up. No hormonal side effects whatsoever.

my 5 year old had major leaking and accidents. turned out to be total constipation. I was not keeping track. They were really hard and large BM. i put her on miralax, first twice a day, then daily. and it worked, but took a few weeks. I think they just stop feeling the pressure over time if the bowels are constipated.

If it is the vaginal issue, how would they determine that? I can't see putting a 7 year old through a gyn exam.

13:13 here. Your daughter is 7. Lost of girls are starting to get the early signs of puberty around 8-9 these days. I wouldn't be too worried about the cream if that's what it comes down to. She probably won't need it long.

Thanks, everyone. I appreciate the suggestions. About this one, I have to say I hate the idea of giving her hormone cream. Is this condition necessary to treat? I mean medically, not because of inconvenience?

Reread the PP post. My cousins wife had labial adhesions and had to have surgery to open her vagina when she was 19. I'd rather give my child hormone cream for awhile until her body is producing enough on it's own, rather than make her go through surgery to correct it.

Quite common, treatment is estrogen cream. It's not a great treatment due to puberty-like side effects but it is effective.

maybe constipation. the bowel's putting pressure on the bladder.

Maybe she's holding it too long? Is she laughing? Sneezing when it happenes

My daughter is 7 and she has never had a problem with bed wetting or having daytime accidents (beyond the norm) and suddenly she is leaking small amounts of urine into her underwear almost very day. It's never very much, but it is enough to make her want to change her underwear after it happens. I will make an appt with the pediatrician, but I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this issue and what it could be.
