Not a supporter of the principal. Unless you are on the PTA board, consistent, professional communication is absent.

I have to say she is responsive. I sent her an email complimenting my son's amazing kindergarten teacher and the great year he has had. I got a response back thanking me for my note within 15 minutes. In all likelihood she was probably in front of her computer but I was still shocked to get a quick response.

It's a huge school but all 3 of my children have been very happy there.

Great principal and VERY involved with all the children in the school. I emailed her once with a very benign question, fully expecting to either be ignored or to get reply a week later. She replied within the same day, and with a kind and understanding tone.

She's well liked by the parent population, so far as I can tell.

Excellent principal who is actually a VERY nice and positive person. The school is very big and most likely she has been very busy or in meetings. Wait for 48 hours and if you don't hear, shoot another email.

I don't know this person but keep in mind that the principal is likely very busy as the school year is ending and does not have a lot of time to deal with current parents, let alone prospective parents. At my former MCPS elementary, I was worried when I felt I got the brush off from the office staff as a prospective parent. Once my children enrolled, they couldn't have been more lovely. I was at school enough to see how much they had to do -- I understood that they prioritized the current parents. Hopefully, a Woodacres parent can give you some additional insight.

I'm checking out the school for my DD. I have emailed the principal and have gotten a bad feeling about her from the tone of her reply email. Am I picking up on something that others would care to comment about?
