REI sells great lightweight pants - nylon-type material, can be converted from shorts to pants, and I think they have UV protection. They sell them in blue, pink, and beige I think. We buy them for our DC every year.

H&M had some lightweight pants, khaki and some linen, when I was the downtown location a few weeks ago.

At that age I loved the American apparel karate pants for my DS. Loose and cottony. In lighter colors they are good in hot weather. They're a little more than I normally spend but I think they run deals where if you buy multiple pairs each one is less, plus they have sales, free shipping, etc.

We want to protect our 14 month old's legs from sun while in stroller. We use sunscreen but would prefer option of pants that are cool and thin fabric.
