Sniffers doggie depot is good too.

I would use dogvacay.com - your elderly dog won't have to deal with the stresses of a kennel.

Dogtopia doesn't currently have a groomer (or at least the one at WhiteFlint doesn't). They do baths and nails, but not grooming. They're looking to hire someone now, but I'm not sure how long ago this happened to you, PP? We've been going there since January and they haven't had anyone that I know of during that time that grooms.

Dogtopia has a horrible groomer. They cut our dog twice!

We use Dogtopia too, for normal daycare and boarding. They're really great. I definitely recommend giving them a try! Our dog loves all the people and dogs there

Thanks everyone - no, the place I didn't like is in Urbana. And I used to like them quite a bit until we had a bad experience. Anyway, I appreciate your recommendation. My husband is anti-in-home care because he's afraid someone is going to go through our stuff.... trying to convince him not to rule that out as an option.

For a senior dog, I would look into in-home care (someone to stay at your house while you are away), or a home boarding situation with only another dog or two (if any). I would consider looking into dogvacay.com or the like.

We had a bad experience at the place we usually go to and I'm looking for someplace new. My dog is 13 so she's not necessarily into all the playing with lots of other dogs. Just want someplace calm where she will be well cared for.
