Try Backyard Barbecue in Arlington on Sycamore Street (right where it connects with Williamsburgh). As a bonus you can go to Zinga froyo for desert.

OP here. So we ended up at Smoke and Barrel (Standard was closed on Monday when we went around 4:30pm).

I am not a bourbon or beer drinker so unable to comment on the booze, and the food was just OK. We had the fried dill pickles (Yum!! the best part of the entire meal). DD had the sausage and baked beans platter..sausage was not too spicy and had nice flavor and she enjoyed the baked beans (they were sweet with just a little kick). I had the sampler platter which included pork ribs, brisket and the sausage with 2sides of jalepano cheddar grits and coleslaw. Brisket and the ribs were both very dry and didn't have enough seasoning for my tastes. The coleslaw was just OK and the grits were surprisingly quite good. Overall, evrything needed some seasoning, like salt or something. It was an OK meal, but I wouldn't go back except for maybe the pickles.

Red Hot and Blue in the DC area sucks. We went recently and were horrified at how bad and drab the food had become. However, out of desperation after a busy day we tried the one in Williamsburg. That one was good and like the RH&B I remember from years ago.

Yes, please report back! I've been to Rockland's several times and think it's okay. Urban BBQ is also okay. I haven't tried Standard or Smoke and Barrel.

Old Glory. Lots of different sauces at your table.

Please report back. These are on my list to try.
(I already like Rocklands in Arlington. Haven't been to their other locations.)

Standard. The food is great and the atmosphere is fun if the weather is nice. It does get croweded, though.

I've already been to Hill's Country, I've looked at a few and was wondering which would be the best choice for me and my DD (14) from these 3.

Standard
Rocklands (I've been here about 5 years ago and didn't like it because it was very smokey inside, but willing to give it another chance since I don't remember the food)
Smoke and Barrel

TIA!!
