I am pp poster when you receive your prescription at the pharmacy the package insert lists hundreds of potential side effects, most of the side effects listed are pertinent to the class that the medication belongs to, not the actual medication itself. So the patient insert for Rhinocort will have side effects listed that came from oral steroids and have nothing to do with Rhinocort. Also oral steroids are routinely used in pregnancy for a variety of reasons from helping fetal lungs to mature to treating adrenal insufficiency. I think the best place to check is with your ob or a pharmacist otherwise you will get ridiculous answers like from 22:42

There are no side effects from steroid nasal spray to the baby the action is local systemic or blood absorption is minimal and by the time whatever gets absorbed makes it to the placenta it has been metabolized.

If you are so anti drug why would you do a steroid spray. There are side effects to the baby. You say you have put up with it for months, then why do it in the third trimester when you only have a few weeks left.

I can understand the coughing and vomit may be tough but this is a strong drug with potential negative impact on your LO.

I used it as needed with my first pregnancy, and am doing the same with my second. I also take a lot of other allergy meds, with my doctor's approval.

I take this. I have taken several nasal sprays over the years. My allergist put me on this over a year ago when we were starting to think about TTC since it is safe in pregnancy. I have had no side effects. It does the job. I preferred Omnaris - my old nasal spray - but this is much better than several of the others I've taken over the years (Flonase, Nasonex, and others). I really do wish I could be anti drug in pregnancy but I have severe allergies and would be a complete wreck without some solid things like rhinocort. Good luck!

For post nasal drip issues. Anyone taken it, what were the side effects if any? Did it help?
I have tried everything natural since I am anti drugs as much as possible and have been struggling with this for months. Now in the third trimester with worsening acid reflux, can't handle the constant coughing and throwing up.
