I am surprised that so many of you would not see such a movie. I feel almost an obligation to deal with difficult subject matter...well I do it for a living, but I try to help others when I can and if I can't handle a topic then what would I do if this happened to a friend?

With all due respect, PP, gimme a break. No one takes this lightly. Everyone realizes that losing a child is tragic. It would be torture watching a movie like this when you know how it ends. I'm getting upset just thinking about it. I can't imagine any woman wanting to watch something like this..just too heart wrenching.

+1. But apologies to OP; I intend to see the film, but am not prepared to join her quest. At least she got a viewer, though not a crusader.

These replies are so odd to me?? Has anyone ever heard of Sophie's Choice or Terms of Endearment? Very sad and gut-wrenching subject matter- but two of the most critically acclaimed films of all-time. A depressing topic alone does not make me shy away from a film.

Before I start, let me say I have no experience first-hand with still birth, nor do any of my immediate family members or very close friends.

But I do have a few friends who have experience with this, and I feel safe in saying that they wouldn't be front-and-center at a movie like this. They certainly have feelings and thoughts and grief, and I'm sure they'd support more support for the issue, but I just don't see them being gung-ho activist-y about it. Not that you can't be, OP, but I don't think it's everyone's flavor. Know what I mean?

I really don't want to see this movie.

Because I personally was touched by this topic, and sadly know many others who were as well, I think it is a worthy endeavor to spread the word.

We're out to prove to Hollywood that there is an audience for RETURN TO ZERO and get as many people to pledge to see the film the first weekend that it is in theaters!
