Wow. Is she still in the picture?

I am supposed to get around $350/month for one child but because my ex is almost always paid under the table and changes jobs frequently, he sends what he wants when he wants it. He owes quite a bit. It is very frustrating because he has the money but sends it to his fiance and new baby. Whatever is left over might get sent to me.

I only receive $180/mo for 1 child. My salary is $75k. Not sure how little the bum is making. I know he has at least 1 other child that he is supporting. I've thought about going to the courts and ask for more, but a bit reluctant because whenever I ask for money for her bday gift, Christmas gifts, he does give it to me, but I guess he should buy her things anyway. Just trying not to get into a fight with him.

We pay $500 for child support (one child) and half the private school tuition and half of all major expenses like sports and camps. The child support is less than 20% of monthly income but was agreed upon by the two exes and the judge because the child lives with the mother nearly 1000 miles away (her choice) and it takes considerable expense to maintain visitation- flights, long drives, etc. That was factored into the calculations. Judge allowed for a reduction so as not to make it financially impossible to even see the child.

Child Support. You have to talk to a lawyer. It depends on a lot of things. There isn't an exact number. It depends on how much you make, the other parent makes, how much childcare is, if you want to take health insurance into account, etc

Just curious what others are paying/receiving and how it relates to incomes.
