The first grade DRA score should not count. When a child's AAP screening file is prepared by the school in the middle of second grade, a current DRA score is shown on the Screening Summary Sheet, but I believe it is the DRA score from the beginning of second grade. I don't think that they retest in the middle of second grade just to get a more up-to-date number for the screening file.
