Hi!
I think each provider is different. I am seen at the Bethesda office.

First appointment: ultrasound, bloodwork, pap sti testing.
Second appointment a week later: reviewed all the bloodwork, long conversation about diet, travel, genetic testing, what to do in case of er, physical exam, answered questions.
Third: weight, pee, fhr, bp...

They do the ultrasound separately from the 1st appointment. When I called to set up 1st appointment, they actually scheduled me for the ultrasound a few days before, so the doc would have the results. Good luck!

I'm at M Street - first appointment, went over the health issues on BOTH sides so my DH answered questions, weight, pee, blood, ultrasound for confirmation with the portable low-grade machine. They also wanted to do STD/pap tests (I think the STD is required by law?) but I had to wait because I was on progesterone so did it at my second appointment.

What Dr are you seeing?

If you're able to answer the ?s for your DH, or they're already in the system...I'd say yours doesn't have to go assuming he knows the doctor and doesn't mind missing a potential ultrasound. This was the one appointment my DH attended (well, that and the NT scan because he had to answer genetics questions too).

I'm on #2 but I can't remember if I get an ultrasound or not at the first appointment. I don't think I did with #1. And it's still too early for the doppler thing where you're hearing the heartbeat, right? I'll be 9 weeks.

I'm wondering if it's worth it to have my husband come with me or not. If there's no ultrasound, I'm thinking no. (And yes, I saw the other insane thread on this topic. Not re-opening that conversation.)
