I hate it, personally. One of my TJ's mistakes. No one in my house likes it.

Return it. TJs will take back anything you don't like.

Parent of kid with peanut allergy here. You are right that peanuts are legumes, not tree nuts. However, the two are almost always processed together, so people with an allergy to one need to avoid the other in most cases. Also, people who are allergic to one are also more likely to be allergic to the other.

More important, the PP was just saying that cookie butter is a good alternative to peanut butter or Nutella, which is true. One contains peanuts and the other, tree nuts. Why jump all over her?

Peanuts are legumes not nuts, and are completely unrelated to nut allergies.

it is speculoos spread and it does taste ginerbready.
personally i don't think we should buy it again because peanut butter at least has more protein and this is just... spreadable cookies!

Speculaas --- mmmm. Cookie from Belgium. Those Belgians don't get enough credit for their food. Speculaas, waffles, "french" fries in a paper cone slathered with homemade mayo ...

Oh my.

It's amazing. It's like those speculoos cookies you get on the airplane. No, not to be used like butter at all. More like Nutella. I eat it on bananas, pretzels, or just with a spoon honestly.

They also have dark chocolate candy bars w/ cookie butter filling inside of them...(I prefer the caramel milk chocolate bars, though =)

FYI: They are at the register.

It is SO good! Use it like you would use Nutella. Spread it on toast or a rice cake, or if you're feeling very decadent dip nilla wafers in it. You don't cook it. It's in the junk food category.

Can someone explain what this product IS? Do I use it as butter and smear it on a piece of toast? Is it meant to be a thicker layer and I should smear it like cream cheese?

Is it raw cookie dough? Does it taste like cookie?

I just ... what category is this in? Is a serving size about as much salt you'd put on a hard-boiled egg, or as much ice-cream as you'd feed a husband? Is it a dessert? Is it meant to be eaten by itself? Do you cook it?

I"M JUST SO CONFUSED!
