Yes, this is the preferred protocol for treatment of anxiety and ADHD.

Prozac for anxiety, stimulants brought back overwhelming so nothing for focus.

Adderall for ADD, Prozac for anxiety, both are 10mg/day. Still having quite a bit of anxiety though.

Celexa for anxiety, ritalin for ADHD. The combination works well for DS.

PP here. While I am not a doctor nor an expert at all, I recall reading something about stimulants being contraindicated with spectrum-related diagnoses. You mentioned mild PDD so a non-stim may be worth a look. I feel for you. The search for the right med is really tough.

While the meds affect everyone differently, the non-stimulants were better for us.

I am wondering about whether we have hit the right mix. Our son has been on zoloft for two years and it has helped his anxiety tremendously. We recently started him on Vyvanse for ADHD NOS. he seems to be both inattentive and impulsive. he also has mild PDD.

I have seen an increase in anxiety about what others are doign, vigilance and obsessing again and wonder of the vyvanse is causing a resurgence in that even while it is clearky helping focus for schoolwork.

It's hard to say initially because we were rolling off a stimulant that was causing tics. However, more recently we upped the dose and I think we saw a difference within a few weeks.

we use lexapro for anxiety and intuniv for focus and calm.
there are lots of meds used for inattentiveness (ADHD) and it often takes trying out several until you find the one that works for you.
