You do not say whether you have an option or not. If you have a choice, I would pass on this school. It is not an academically challenging school and the admin is not admirable. Louise Archer is a much better school. Some people love the active PTA, others decry the super easiness of the classwork.

When you say dud, would you say that because he is uninvolved, disinterested in students, or lacks personality? Regarding your comment on the front office staff, they are not welcoming? Just trying to get an overall feeling for the school as we consider options. Thanks!!

We have been happy with the school, teachers and administration. The PTA is also very strong. Our DC is eligible for aap and likely will stay at the base school.

Does anyone have direct experience with Flint Hill Elementary in Vienna (not the private school in Oakton)? In particular, I would be interested to know what you think about the administration and staff, and whether the school community seems welcoming to all.
