Subject: What was the most selfless thing you did in the last week?
Mother Theresa, no! Mother cupcake, yes!
I didn't cut in front, the barista understood that this particular patron needed additional time. She offered me a short cut, and I ceded to the elderly.
I guess I suck for liking cupcakes. Sorry.

I was in a hurry to pick up some ad-hoc cupcakes. In front of me was a grandma on a mission to place the perfect cake order.
The cupcake barista asked grandma to wait in case I had a quick order. I asked a few questions, and decided that grandma deserved some me-time.
I waited patiently while they discussed frosting types, etc... and chatted it up with other waiting patrons.
I really hope this grandma has a lovely party.

Subject: What was the most selfless thing you did in the last week?
Similar to PP, I gave 20 bucks to preganant homeless woman on the street. I hope she uses the $$ for food, but I will never know. I'll continue to pray for her.

I had just an hour to myself the other day and I stopped to help a dad and his injured child. They were in a parking lot and she had burned her leg on his car's tail pipe. It didn't take that long but it was the first hour to myself that I had had in several days.

I regularly chat up the elderly people at the gym. I'm not really interested in talking to *anyone* at the gym - I'd rather get in, work out, and then get out. But I know sometimes, people just need someone to talk to and have a conversation with. And it's usually a lot of lonely elderly women going 1 mph on the bike, that don't have a lot of people who listen. So I listen and chat with them, as long as they need to get it out.

I had my daughter and her friend with me this morning and bought the friend three pairs of shorts. I know her (single) mom doesn't have a lot of money and the girl mentioned she only had two pair.
