Nonprofit. ASCD, NSTA, NCTM, NSBA, NAESP, NASSP, etc are all headquartered in area and all hire educators for some roles. Your best bet to find those jobs is the ASAE job board.

Though teaching is my passion, I left to start my family. We have since relocated and with no connections here and a tight job market, I haven't found a new teaching job. I also have six years of corporate experience (marketing) incl my current position. Ideally, I'd like to find a new corporate job with an education focus. My initial thought was DoED, but also wondered about private companies or non profits. I really want to stay close to the education world, but have no idea where to begin (I kind of "fell into" my current job but it is not at all education related). Would love to do curriculum development or professional development for teachers (had some experience with both while teaching) but would I have to be hired through a district? I would appreciate any thoughts/guidanc/btdt. Thanks!
