My son used to go there, but he has aged out.
Positives:
It's the only aftercare game in town and it's reliable.
The variety of what the kids are exposed to is great.
The kids get exercise.
It's affordable.
The program seems to get better every year they do this.
Negatives:
After a long day at school (which had very strict discipline), there really wasn't enough unstructured decompression time.
Part of the reason for the above was that the folks running the program were rather inexperienced themselves, and not really always able to handle unbridled pent-up kid energy, IMO.
The homework that my child was assigned at school wasn't getting done there. Now there are lots of good reasons for this, but as he got older, the homework load got heavier,and it became a bit of an issue. Fortunately, he also got more responsible about it as he got older.
