my son was in the yellow room at Kidstop and teachers were great, loved the director as well. We recently moved to chevy chase, so we transferred him, but they worked with him on talking a lot. I credit the teachers in his room for that. Good luck

My daugheter goes to King Farm Goddard. While there were not 25 kids in a room, there were 20-22 at one point. They were 2 going on 3, and only had 2 teachers in there. I made an anonymous call to Mont. County to have the room checked out. They now have 3 teachers at all times in my daughter's room.

These large daycares try to cheat the ratios by putting kids of different ages together (older 2's and 3's together). You have to keep an eye out for the ratios.

It does seem kind of crazy in the rooms sometimes, but my daughter really enjoys going there.

Also, keep in mind these "nice venues" have high admin. costs; therefore, the place where they make the cuts are salaries.
People at this type of preschools are UNDERPAID. They are unhappy witches in charge of small children. They yell, they are upset and they have no patience.
WHen you look for a preschool, pay attention at ratios, space in the room (is it cluttered?)
If you are smart you will go into Montessori.

I'm not sure what you are talking about. Nobody in a licensed daycare has 25 kids in a room. In fact it's the exact opposite. Montessori is the one with large classes.

You should also consider looking at Nanda Childcare Center in Traville. New center that is very nice and I like their staff and director.

Did you look at Goddard in Gaithersburg across from MedImmune? I don't think it would be that much further for you. We looked at all 3 (king farm and gaithersburg goddards and kidstop) and thought goddard gaithersburg was the best of the bunch. We were extremely happy with all of the classes our child was in.

I've read VERY mixed reviews of Goddard School in King Farm which is super convenient to our new house in King Farm, but I couldn't find any reviews/comments more recent than spring 2012. Does anyone have recent experience good or bad?

Also, any comments on KidStop @ Shady Grove Metro would be appreciated?

I have a 15 month old.
