She is a beagle and approx 23lbs. She is mostly brown with black and white on her face and legs. She would do well with kids of all ages but really enjoys snuggling on couch and walks outside so would probal be good with slightly older kids. My son is five and he can walk her and play with her.
As for the person who is concerned I won't take her to an adoption event, i will as that is part of my contract, but she is super shy when surrounded by lots of dogs so I would rather she meet people one on one.

OP, I'm not in a position to adopt a dog right now. Just writing to tell you how much I appreciate and admire people like you who so generously open your homes and hearts to foster dogs!

It depends on the dog if we do adoption events while fostering. Some dogs don't do well in large crowds. We would set up a time to meet the people at a central location or at their house. Your doing a wonderful thing op!

OP, I know you mean well, but if you are not willing to take her to adoption events, PLEASE DO NOT FOSTER THIS DOG. People who go to adoptions events are generally very good people, and Lost Dog will check them out.

It concerns me that you are willing to have strangers on the internet come to your home but not adopters.

I am already at the "pet limit" for my apartment, but I wonder if you could tell us a little more about Chloe.

How big is she?

Do you have any idea what breed she might be? What does she look like?

What's her temperament like? I know you say she's sweet, but is the kind of sweet that would like to snuggle up to an elderly person on the couch all day, with a quick trip to the backyard, or the kind of sweet that would have the energy to keep up with a houseful of kids?

I just started fostering with Lost Dog and a few weeks ago we started fostering a Beagle named Chloe. She is around 6-7 years old and is the sweetest thing. I am recently seperated and have my five year old son half the time. This is something I had been wanting to do but we always lived in a condo with 2 cats so it was not a possibility. Chloe has been such a sweet dog, is great with kids and people. She is a cuddle bug and just likes to snuggle on the couch and take naps in her dog bed. I was worried that she would not be house trained but she has not had one accident in the house. She goes to bed when we do (8pm) and I have to practically wake her up in the morning around 8. I have had 1 inquiry about adopting her and got so upset when I realized she is going to move in eventaully with another family. I would keep her but I travel for work a lot and being a single mom, it is not possible. As a foster I am supposed to take her to 2 adoption events a month and I really dont want to take her in the event that the people who adopt her are not nice to her. I figured I would post on here to see if there were any families that were possibly looking for a dog to rescue. I am happy to send pictures (and most of them are her snuggling with my son or on the couch) if you send me an email. I live in Shirlington and would be happy to meet any potential adopters at a park or whatever is convienent.
