My DC is in the AAP program (will start at the middle school AAP center in the fall) and we are seeking guidance on what to do about high school. We are zoned for an IB high school and DC wants AP. We are guessing that TJ would not be a good fit.
You can pupil place to a high school with an AAP program using a form on the FCPS website, you may not need an educational consultant.
you mean AP, not AAP.

Anonymous wrote:We are completely new to this. Our DC is currently in a private school that is not teaching math and writing at VA state grade-level. It's been frustrating. We are interested in looking at FCPS as an option. DC recently took the WISV-IV and scored in the 97th percentile, with especially strong verbal and perceptual scores. Does anyone have a recommendation for an outside educational consultant with expertise in this area? We would like to find someone who could offer us some guidance.

Does the psychologist that administered the WISC have any experience with FCPS/AAP? I know there are some psychologists in the northern Virginia area that have such expertise and perhaps one of those could provide some guidance.
