2 things....

We were given an offer the day before school started and had 5 days to respond

Parents were aware last year that rcf was moving temporarily and it did not change a thing.

Thank you. I wonder if that will impact the acceptance numbers.

The holding school is in Bethesda, off of Goldsboro Road, which is far from SS or Takoma Park (where most of the immersion kids live). Kids will start there in Sept. 2013 and move back to RCf in Jan 2015.

I think your chances of getting in at #11 are very good. There are of course no guarantees, but for whatever reason there seem to be people who apply aren't seriously interested. RCF will also be at a holding school, so I would imagine this is as good as year as any to try to get a slot there.

Probably not.

For 09:56 A few years ago we were #13 on the RCF WL. We got the call a week before school started, and so did #12. Then we had 24 hours to decide. Some people do not hear til after school starts. Hang in there.

Thanks for the insight! For a #11 for Rock Creek (Spanish), do you think we'll hear in May or closer towards the school year?

Last year we were given 5 calendar days to accept or decline. I believe there is initially some movement as spots are taken or declined followed by a lull over the summer then a jolt as school year approaches and reality sets in for some parents who initially accepted but can't coordinate it or have other options.

For those that were offered MCPS immersion spots, what date were you given to accept/decline? I am #11 on a wait list and wanted to know when to expect some movement on the wait list.
