Well, as a neighbor, I would say it is small for the area, although well done. This block of Lowell is a less desirable section of WH because many of the houses are on the smaller side for WH. It should probably priced closer to 1.69 million.

OP - I get that part, but I like this house and thought Wesley Heights was a fairly hot area. Maybe the house isn't that big, and I thought the poster who made the comment about the back yard had a good point.

We're in McLean, and likely to stay there for several years to come, but this house caught my eye in perusing RE listings. I guess I feel like, because I liked it, it should be under contract by now to validate my own judgment, but it doesn't always work out that way.

It's lovely.

First one on Lowell is overpriced by about 150,000. Second one is smaller.

My guess is that it's over-priced for the size. This one has sat on the market a while too and appears to be pretty similar (but priced less):

one possible reason: folks with young kids may prefer a house with a back that opens on to the ground level. Yes, the deck is big, but the backyard can seem far away if the mom/dad/caregiver are in the kitchen and kid(s) want to play in the yard. I've heard this mentioned enough in my neighborhood to wager that could be the reason.
