This applied to me as well. I think it is really important. It taught us consensus building too and how to handle factions.

For goodness sake, does someone have to chime in with a rude comment on every thread?

Stupid. Just stupid.

I'm the third of three girls. My parents only planned on two kids. Apparently, when I turned out to be a girl, everyone was disappointed.

Cut to today, 40 years later. I'm the favourite and very close
To my parents. My two older sisters rarely see or call my parents. The relationship is not bad, it is just limited due to life, lack of time& being over scheduled.
Both mom and dad like me because I call & visit because I want to. I make time for them.
Both parents say they saved the best for last.

I loved being one of three girls, and I thought my parents were bonkers for saying they'd be my best friends when we grew up... well, they are. It was just noisy enough, just quiet enough, there was always someone to talk to but few enough that you could meander away.

And it's odd because as much as I loved being one of three, my older brother died just before birth, so it kind of felt like we were missing someone, too.

I'm with you! When we found out we were having twins, I thought "how awesome! I don't have to do this again"! My twins (boy/girl) are 5 now and we're expecting #3! I'm still waiting for the excitement....

I love all the craziness and chaos of the holidays. Families with 2 kids, it's just too quiet.

I loved having three so much that we went ahead and had a fourth! Three is the new two (everyone I know has at least three, and I'm a FT WOHM). Seriously, having three is so much fun. It seems more like a family when you have a house full of kids (and noise).
