None of them write their own stuff. He sent it to you as a draft so you could "tweak" it. Make sure what you change is 100% grammatically correct, though, and not just arbitrary. It is a fine line but try not to cramp his "style".

If it's a draft email, seems like a no brainer that you edit it. Politely state that you've edited it for content and style and ask for his approval.

CEO was planning to send out an email to a number of vendors that has a ton of grammatical and punctuation errors. How do I go about having him redo the email without coming across like a total asshole.
