wait a few weeks, then send an email and say, just checking in --any progress or new information from when we spoke last month?
on the other hand, it's something I might say when I knew the org wasn't going to hire someone but didn't have that many details to give the PP....
Whatever, just check in in a few weeks but keep looking! It's just one lead...

Subject: When (if?) to follow up?
I sent a resume/job inquiry to someone I (slightly) know professionally. I got a response within the hour that basically said, "Let me discuss with my partners and let’s connect again in the next couple of weeks." Do I wait for her to contact me again or follow up? And if I do follow up, when should I do so and what do I say?
