i don't think there is any midwestern bias.

i do think there is bias of notherners finding work in certain areas down south and vice versa.

I'm from the Midwest and have never struggled to find work.

I love people from the Midwest. South is a different story.

What?!? I've never heard that. I would have no problem hiring someone from the midwest. Actually, my current assistant is from the south but most recently lived/worked in the midwest!

I'm the one who previously posted we might be moving to Kansas fm Falls Church. Relatives have "talked to people" (I take that with a grain of salt) and say that once we go there, it'll be really hard to come back east to DC or New York or even Philly or Boston because people on the east coast have a bias against hiring people from the Midwest. (They say people have a perception that once you live in the Midwest you can't keep up with the pace of the east coast.) Any thoughts on this? I've been government/non-profit, and husband is in PR/communications. Thanks.
