Our Thomas O'Brien towels from Target are 7 years old and still going strong; thick and plush with no fading.

Have you bought any recently? I used to love LE towels. I used to give the monogrammed bath towels as gifts for new babies (the ones with the pictures).

But, I got one recently and it was significantly thinner than the previous ones. They definitely changed them!

Wondering if they changed them all, or just those?

Lands End towels are great. I do the Supima line. Very durable and plush, esp the bath sheets.

Go to Macy's and get some nice ILGWU towels. Seriously, I have spent too much money on Restoration Hardware and Pottery Barn towels where the color fades quickly and white spots emerge. Thomas O'Brien at Target are nice for the price with no strings but the color fades too.

All the towels I see, even expensive ones, seem to already have strings coming off of them and don't seem that thick. I don't want to pay an arm a leg, but my budget is flexible. Share your favorites!
