I agree with the other posters who said that you should go to a doctor and get an RX. I went into my ob/gyn with charts showing a short luteal phase after only a few months of trying. Even though they typically make you wait a year, because I had things so well documented they immediately allowed me to try certain RXs. I used clomid but in the end conceived two pregnancies using progesterone (1 healthy baby, pregnant still with #2).

It did nothing for me. I was tested pre-RE while using it and while not using it and had the same crummy progesterone levels both times. Also, I agree with PP. Knowing what I know now after IF, I would never try something like that again without input.

PP again. Even if you found one that did metabolize the same way, would you want to risk it? Dosage is important between implantation and when the placenta takes over producing progesterone. I personally wouldn't be comfortable with something that isn't FDA tested/approved.

It does not metabolize the same way as RX supplements.

See your OB if you want your progesterone levels checked and possibly supplemented.

What is your experience with using this? I bought some natural cream at Yes! (progesta-care) and want to try it. I am temping and charting and so I know when I ovulate. My temps aren't getting very high above my coverline post-ovulation and so I am thinking this might help.

When in your cycle do you apply it? Have you had any success with it? (We have been TTC #2 for a year now). What could the side effects be? I have googled all this but would also like some real-life feedback from a community I trust. Thanks!
