I believe their age 'max' for shared risk was 38 or 39. I was 40 when I decided to go ahead, but I had the benefit of insurance (so it wasn't as much of a risk, but still had some cost involved). It ended up working for me (second try). On both the first and second, I ended up with 3 fertilized eggs (First cycle: 15 eggs retrieved, 13 mature, No ICSI. Second: 9 eggs retrieved, 7 mature, ICSI). On the first we implanted two (we were kind of hoping to avoid multiples, although we would have moved forward if it happened). That one ended up in an ectopic and the egg that was left over did not make it to blast. On the second one, we implanted all three. Two initially took but one of those didn't make it (vanishing twin). I am now 41 and 28 weeks along with a singleton. We had been trying for close to 5 years before this. It is a tough decision, but for us, it was the right one. Good luck!
