It's a good source of omega-3 fatty acids, but I prefer Nordic Natural brand supplements.

I don't "swear" by it, but I take a capsule a day. I think its a good match for the way we tend to eat these days - plenty of calories, but not enough nourishment.

Does anybody take it? I have a full bottle of it given to me by a friend of mine, an older Latino woman. I had a cough all through the winter and she, in concern, went off one day on the benefits of this. Due to a little bit of a language disconnect, I wasn't sure what she was talking about, but the next day she shows up with a bottle of it, manufactured in El Salvador. I thanked her profusely but haven't opened it yet. Turns out the cough was a side effect from another med I was taking, and is now gone. But now I want to try the cod liver oil anyway. It's mostly the same thing as taking Omega 3's, right? I've read up on the benefits but wonder if anyone here swears by it?
