You used to be able to access Rosetta Stone (or Pimsleur, maybe) through the Arlington Public Library website for free if you have a library card. Might be a way to get started.

I know that Perspectiva Russian school offers Russian as a second language.

Very knowledgable teachers, great programs, a lot of classes!

Thanks for sharing; I knew of the Falls Church group but not the others. Slight sticker shock at the prices so I think she may just have to make do with what APS offers.

Perspectiva is very nice but does not, to my knowledge, offer RSL.

There is also a new school in Reston, called Perspektiva. I hear they are nice too.

I believe Virginia Russian Academy in Falls Church has an RSL (russian as a second language) class. They offer free trials.

There is also Metafora School. They did not offer RSL last year, but that may have changed since.

There are two Russian schools in Falls Church, Metaphor and Virginia Russian Academy, that have Saturday classes.
