Whatever happened to written thank you's and telephone follow ups?

OK, for me it has been one week since the interview -- which went great. But, I have sent a thank you email (same day) and then followed up with an email yesterday. Haven't heard anything. Does this mean it's a flop? I was so enthusiastic last week but now feel like it is bad news that I've heard nothing after a week. Thoughts?

PP here, didn't get the position. ugh. frustrated as all hell interviewing when not working. it is tough as hell to even get interviews so when going through multiple rounds only to get rejected, it just makes you want to throw it in forever.

I'd follow up with the people you interviewed with or your HR contact. Just a thanks again/checking in/do you need anything else from me sort of thing.

Had an interview mid week last week. I thought it went really well. Next steps were for them to call "soon." Haven't heard and sort of expected to hear today. When should I worry that I haven't heard back? Yes, I did send a follow up thank you after the interview. Thx
