Most banks are moving in this direction, so choose the one with most favorable terms across all your account needs.

I use Capitol One (formally INGDirect) since '04 and they have been great. I am debating changing over to Ally b/c the interest is slightly better, but I don't know if it is worth the hassle.

I have a discover bank account, which I've had for about 4 years. It's a good place to dump my cash, and I get about a .9 return, which isn't bad.

USAA is fantastic. Justice Federal Credit Union is excellent as well. We've had accounts with both for years. I don't even remember the last time I was in a bank.

Ally is awesome. Great rates, and few fees. That you can use any ATM is nice too. Customer service has been fine; no major complaints.

Going all-online has actually been much easiser than I expected. I recently closed my only account at a physical branch bank in town, after I realized I hadn't used it for over a year.

Capital One 360's (used to be ING Direct) online checking and saving accounts are great. I've had the accounts for almost 10 years and have no complaints!

I have Ally, but I've only had it for a few months and use it as an emergency fund so I don't have much good advice. I like it a lot. All I do is an automatic monthly transfer into it, though. They do have good customer service, a good and easy smartphone app if you like that, but I don't know the ease of other proceses.

I have read about prevalent issues with auto loans with them.

Good luck! Their savings rate is good- .8 or .9 percent. as opposed to .01, which I get on my chase account. -_-

Can you recommend your paperless bank account?
I just want to do everything online and do not want to receive paper letters from them.
