No one is going to listen to you unless you speak clearly. Just because they don't act on your complaint doesn't mean they did not hear you, either.

Is Chavez your in bounds school or are you in a lottery slot?
I have heard the Principal at Chavez is crazy and the work load on the kids and parents is unrealistic.
If that's what you are complaining about, pull you kid out and go to your in bounds school. I know several Chavez families who have done just that and their kids are much happier.
Getting a slot in the lottery doesn't mean you actually won anything. People hang on to these language immersion seats for dear life only to find out that it really isn't the right fit for their kids.
There are also plenty of PGCPS that allow administrative transfers. The window is officially closed but you could probably convince someone to help you get transferred if you are really unhappy.

Okay so leave. What's with all the theatrics?

What is the subject of your concern? They can't address a problem unless you state it clearly and what you want them to do. Best wishes.

Your letter is far too rambling and vague to be effective. What's your call to action?

Dear School Board Members and County Officials,

Over twelve years ago, I anxiously sat in the title company's office. I was so proud that I was about to purchase my first home. I did it all by myself. My parents were not there with me that day; they were in another state. I pulled weeds, cut grass, painted, renovated, and poured all of my energy into my home. We have come so far together.

Life has changed for me so much since I bought my house. I am a Mom now and my father has since passed. I have soared to new heights professionally, mourned the death of best friends, and turned into avid animal lover. My pooches just love their backyard. . . but life changes.

I cannot believe what I once considered my dream has turned into a set of shackles around my feet. As my parents had did for me, I want to teach my daughter to fly. I want to teach her to value diversity in all forms, to be kind to people and to foster the love of learning at an early age. I want her to go to a great school but Prince George's County, you are not giving me any options.

I have stuck by you and tried to be a good county resident. I have welcomed new neighbors, cleaned the streets, and mentored local teens. My heart is broken now, as I look for ways to break the chains. I will teach my daughter to fly, and I will not let you hold me back.
