What you're doing is perfect. Stick with it.

Mine also hates milk. He eats plenty of cottage cheese and other types of cheese and we still let him have 8 ounces of formula before bedtime and he has been growing like a champ, so I haven't worried too much about it. 2.5 years old and has been weaned from BF since about 8 months old.

My daughter is 4 now and has not touched milk since she weaned off bm/formula at 14 months.
She cannot stand it. Per always said its okay since she gets the recommended minimum in cheese and yogurt each day.

I have two kids. The first was not a milk fan, so we never pushed it (she ate plenty of other calcium rich foods). Her beverage of choice was and still is water.

The second kid drinks skim milk... sometimes. Again, we're mostly concerned about hydration, as she also gets calcium from many places. As for fat, hah, in our house we don't have to add fat to stuff, we get plenty through olive oil in cooking, etc. So she just drinks what we all drink: skim.

I don't really monitor milk intake. Our kids have plenty of quirks, but over-milking doesn't seem to be one of them. I do know of kids, though, who love and consume milk over and above everything else, and their nutritional profile suffers due to lack of variety.

Our 16 month old DD ramped up for a month (we weaned at 14 months, and it took her a little while to adjust to whole milk), and is now steadily taking 20-24 oz of milk. Our ped actually told us no more than 24oz, so once she hits 24oz (usually at dinner), we switch her to water.

None. 17 mo old still nurses in the morning and evening and drinks water the rest of the time. Ped has no problem with it.

None and its not an issue. Actually according to our ped no milk is a good ting.

my 13 mo old drinks about 12-16 oz a day while at daycare. in the morning and evenings he still nurses with me, so i don't know how much it would be if it was exclusively whole milk...

19 mo twins. They drink about 20-24 oz per day. Around 15 months they were drinking about 30 oz and we started switching out several of the times for water. So for example, milk first thing in the morning and with breakfast, water for lunch and snack, milk for dinner and bedtime. But we switch out which meals are milk and which are water. We also leave sippy cups of water accessible so that they can go and grab their sippy cups for a sip or two of water at any time.

My 14-month-old hates whole milk too. Have you talked to the doc about it? I haven't yet. Just curious if there's anything to do about it, or just let it go.

Our 18 mth olds drink 12-16 oz/day - down from about 20-22oz when they were your child's age.

My 13 month old drinks probably 20 to 24 ounces a day--and would drink more if I gave it to her. I am trying to work her down to 16 ounces a day or less because she also eats cheese and occasionally yogurt.

13 month old still nurses twice a day. Only drinks between 4 and 10 oz. whole milk. I'm sure that will go up once she is fully weaned.

We just switched over to whole milk from formula last week, started with 5 oz per day and gradually increased so now we're up to between 20-24 oz per day. Went to the ped for our 1 year check up and he said, no more than 30 oz per day with the average being anywhere between 16-24 oz. Our toddler also is a healthy eater (3 meals a day plus snacks). I'm curious about how much other toddlers are drinking.
