Thanks "Carina"! What did you end up doing? They are really negative there! Some useful points though. We only have a tiny amount of space and doing this will make it much more pleasant visually but it's interesting to read the pros and cons. Because of the layout I don't think we'll have issues with the toilet or sink getting wet. I liked the idea of raised wooden slats from Ikea too.

is that you big bro?

I especially hate the dust getting on the bottom on my feet after my feet were wet...urgh.

but come on, the bathrooms we were forced to use were not like this chicago remodel.

I quite like open shower/wet room if it is designed right, and this one is done well considering the small space.

My plumbing expert says to get radiant heat in the walls and floor. You also put a liner under the shower floor.

The design looks easy to clean.

I like it. That's what a lot of bathrooms are like in Thailand.

Does anyone have an open shower/wet room style bathroom? That is where the shower is seamlessly part of the tiled bathroom and doesn't have a door, wall or curtain separating it off.

How does it work for you? Is it cold? Does the water splashing cause a problem? We're looking at this as an option for a very small bathroom (also one that likely won't be used that frequently). Also interested in opinions from others.
