I didn't break $100k until 34ish. I'm in international development, so I consider myself lucky to be where I'm at. Not so much growth though after I hit $100k. We'll see about the next few years.

My boss' boss' boss is 34 and clears somewhere around $700k. My old boss was 28 and cleared $250. I have a 40+ year old and a 50+ year old who report to me and make under $100k.

There will always be those who make more, and those who make less.... If you start comparing yourself you'll go nuts.

That's a nice salary. If everyone made 200k then 200k wouldn't be 200k.

My advice is to jump to another employer == nowadays it seems to be that lateral hires are the only ones who get the big salary bumps. Sadly, loyal employees who stay around are rewarded with ho-hum yearly increases.

Wanted to add that my career isn't the one to pick if you want to high-earn. If that were my goal I would have stayed in law, however career satisfaction and better work/life balance were my primary objectives, and my current job fits the bill very nicely.
